Video Director

The Video Director is responsible for conceptualising, pitching, and presenting compelling video stories to clients and stakeholders, effectively securing project opportunities and ultimately delivering a successful video. This role requires a creative leader with a keen understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to communicate ideas effectively.
Success will be measured against the trust established within the team, together with the proactive demonstration of problem-solving skills in achieving high levels of client satisfaction.
Job Scope
- Generate innovative and engaging video concepts based on client briefs and project goals for corporate video production
- Actively participate in business development activities to identify and reach out to potential clients and projects
- Craft persuasive and visually compelling pitch decks outlining the proposed video concept, storyline, and creative approach
- Deliver polished and impactful presentations to clients, showcasing the proposed video concept with enthusiasm and clarity
- Address client feedback and concerns effectively, adapting the pitch as needed while maintaining the project's creative integrity
- Collaborate with the video team to develop comprehensive storyboards, visual treatments and other pre-production documents
- Ensure that the approved concepts align with budget constraints and manage the requirements of the production, such as cast, crew, location, equipment and logistics
- Communicate the vision and requirements of each shot and guide talents on the scene and emotion requirements on set
- Work closely with producers, crews, editors, and other creative professionals during each stage of production to ensure the final product aligns with the initial vision.
- Perform video filming and production roles for events & commercial productions
- Basic video editing and post-production using Adobe Premiere Pro
- Digital file management and other ad hoc tasks
- If you are required to work on Saturday, Sunday & PH, off-in-lieu will be provided.
Job Requirements
- Creative and adaptable

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Portfolio demonstrating successful video projects and creative concepts
- Good knowledge with Sony A7 series cameras
- Competent with lighting & audio equipment for video production & live streaming
- Strong ability to work independently and with a team
- Good knowledge in video editing software such as Premiere Pro
- Able to use initiative and common sense to find solutions to problems
Other Details
- You will start with 14 days of annual leave, and you will receive 1 annual leave day increment for every 2 years worked, up to a maximum of 18 days per year.
- You will be working in the office half the time, and out for projects during other times.
- You will work in a trust oriented environment, integrity is very important.
