PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The primary function of this position is to drive in-house business intelligence models that uses a variety of analytical tools such as Python and Power BI. If you are excited about deriving insights from data related to the Solar industry, we want to hear from you.
Accelerate the organization’s data strategy through:
- Data management framework development within organization.
- Enhancing business models founded on data analytics (forecasting, reporting, automation etc.),
- Analysis of market trends and uncover insights that would provide opportunities for business growth,
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute/modify/update in-house business intelligence models
- Gather market data and analyze trends in commodities
- Develop automation processes and data management framework to support business and operational needs
- Build and query relational backend databases in Azure SQL
- Create data reports, visualizations and meaningful analyses to support data-driven business decisions
MAJOR CHALLENGES
The candidate will be working with various functions in the organization (Group Digital, BBD, Engineering etc.) in terms of data-sharing, with the ability to work well in a team to perform in fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and complete multiple assigned projects at any one time within the given deadline.
KEY DECISIONS & DIMENSIONS
Ability to initiate data driven projects that aims to improve business decisions and organization’s health. Must be able to apply data expertise to successfully support cross-functional operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma/degree in STEM with good knowledge in data processing, analytics. Must have hands-on experience in data analysis language.
- 2+ years hands-on experience in Python (e.g. especially in packages like NumPy, Pandas) and SQL or any data analysis langauge. Version control systems (e.g. Git) is a plus.
- Knowledge in statistics, probability and open-source machine learning libraries (e.g. scikit, tensorflow)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI)
- Proficiency in Office, Excel and VBA
- Able to work effectively in a team setting
