Roles and Responsibilities -
- Conduct a thorough literature review on microgrid power management, energy management algorithms, and AI/ML/DL applications in energy systems.
- Familiarize yourself with existing microgrid control strategies, AI-based energy management, and tools commonly used in the field.
Power and Energy Management Algorithm Development:
- Develop algorithms for microgrid power management, considering on-grid and off-grid optimization, islanding, resynchronization, and blackstart operations.
- Implement energy management algorithms that incorporate AI/ML/DL techniques for predictive analysis, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
Microgrid Controller Deployment:
- Deploy power and energy management applications on microgrid controllers.
- Ensure seamless integration with existing control systems and hardware.
AI/ML/DL Solution Platforms:
- Design AI/ML/DL solution platforms tailored for energy management applications.
- Implement solutions for predictive analysis, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
Design and Integration:
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for microgrid components.
- Size and integrate Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), protection circuits, and loads within the microgrid.
Test Case Preparation:
- Prepare comprehensive test cases for microgrid functional and error tests.
- Conduct Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) tests and physical tests on testbeds to validate the performance of the developed algorithms.
Emulation using Simulation Tools:
- Emulate microgrids using simulation tools like Power Factory, Matlab, or Panda Power.
- Integrate the emulation with microgrid controllers to carry out preliminary SIL tests.
Requirements -
Educational Background and Experience:
- Ensure that you meet the educational requirements (Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Showcase experience in scripting languages such as Python, Matlab, or equivalent.
Operational Knowledge:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of microgrid operational principles, including optimization strategies, islanding, resynchronization, and blackstart operations.
AI/ML/DL Experience:
- Highlight any AI, ML, DL-related experiences in energy management, predictive analysis, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
