PERM Network Engineer | CCNA | Up to $6.5K per month – J.T.

A glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Support infrastructure design and implementation

1. Support technical system analysis to determine the extent to which solutions perform “as required” to ensure that future solutions meet anticipated demand
2. Support the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions that adhere to current architecture standards
3. Lead the design installations, system migration and integration
4. Lead the testing and handover of implemented infrastructure solution

• Support infrastructure operations

1. Support delivery of optimal infrastructure operations
2. Create documents on administration, installation, configuration and troubleshooting
3. Apply diagnostic tools to perform technical analysis of complex software, hardware and infrastructure equipment
4. Support the development of report on infrastructure capabilities and limitations

• Maintain infrastructure

1. Support the improvement of maintenance capability by using automation for upgrades, enterprise backup and storage
2. Identify key infrastructure operations issues and maintenance priorities
3. Support the implementation of agreed infrastructure change requests and maintenance routines
4. Develop report on performance and availability of infrastructure systems by review of service uptime, utilisation, throughput etc

• Optimise infrastructure performance

1. Support the initiatives to improve the infrastructure systems and service delivery through automation and virtualisation technologies
2. Support the monitoring of performance, availability and security of infrastructure systems and key operational metrics

• Resolve incidents

1. Support problem/issue identification and resolution
2. Escalate problems/issues
3. Support simulation of user problems to resolve operating difficulties
4. Diagnose problem source through discussions with users
5. Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems
6. Support planned maintenance events, system backup processes and disaster recovery drills
7. Support implementation of preventive solutions

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent fields
• At least 5-6 years of experience in the Network Management and Support Services including CCNA and routing & switches
• Strong knowledge and experience in supporting

1. Cisco Switch, Cisco Router, Fortigate Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall, ClearPass NAC, F5 VPN, IPS, WLC, Access Point and VSS/VLAN Architectures
2. Network Support in the areas of wireless, wired, VPN
3. Network certifications eg CCNE, CCNA
