Duties & Responsibilities
Assesses and provides a formal diagnosis of developmental conditions
(e.g. Autism, Dyslexia, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome,
Dyspraxia) through a written report
Conducts IQ tests and provides reports for enrolment in Special
Education Schools
Provides Psychology assessments for exemption of second language or
accommodation for children with learning challenges
Provides Individual Education Plan (IEP) for clients
Conduct school and home visits, if needed.
Holds social skills classes on topics such as turn-taking, anger
management etc.
Provides parent training to parents of children with developmental
needs on topics such as play skills, introducing non-verbal
communication etc.
Establishes a good network of and maintains good relations with other
professionals in the field
Be proactive in keeping abreast of developments in the field of Child
and Educational Psychology
Job Requirements
Master’s degree in applied psychology
Good interpersonal communication skills
Registration with Singapore Psychological Society
Preferred 3 years or more of relevant experience working with children
