Cariflex Pte.Ltd. is a multinational company growing as a key supplier in high value added medical markets. Current application use Cariflex products as a major ingredient to offer confirm, protection & mechanical performance in surgical gloves, and some industrial applications.
This position plays a role of buyer for the company’s SG plant under Supply Chain Division.
The key responsibilities of buyer role include but are not limited to the following and reporting to the Purchasing Manager:
· To take a role of main contact for service provider and raw material supplier in supporting overall purchasing activities
· To support the legal and commercial review of documents and contracts for raw materials and services of all types applicable
· To support operation in accordance to company’s policies and executes procurement including BOM/non BOM materials and services under the guidance by Purchasing manager.
· To ensure the correct receipt of materials, through effective checking of items, tax classification in accordance with materials and legislation, as well as making them available to internal customers within the necessary deadlines
· To prepare and analyze necessary data in contributing commercial negotiations (discounts) and other commercial conditions with suppliers and service providers
· To support purchasing manager to plan and execute sourcing, bidding & bid evaluation, negotiation, recommendation for award, contract set-up and management.
· To evaluate vendor reliability and manage the data for resolving contract disputes, price amendments or scope variation.
· To manage appropriate supplier and internal customer relationships (Finance, Commercial, HR, Operations..).
Requirement:
- Diploma, Degree in Supply Chain
- Knowledge in law and compliance is an advantage
- Proficiency on Excel, Outlook, Word and PDF, experience on SAP
- Good written & verbal communication skills (English)
