Programme Executive (Special Transition & Engagement Programme)

Special Transition & Engagement Programme (STEP) aims to outreach, plan and coordinate/implement engagement activities for young adults with disabilities, to provide opportunities to remain socially engaged and retain independent living skills after graduating from SPED schools.

The Programme Executive plays a key role in the design and implementation of STEP activities, and ensures that the programme complies with the funding requirements.


Effective Programme Implementation & Administration

  1. Plan and deliver diverse activities, providing positive experiences and interactions for clients
  2. Support Programme Lead/Manager with management of programme risk, quality and compliance
  3. Demonstrate full awareness of work health and safety issues and procedures, including being familiar with emergency procedures and being ready to implement them if necessary

Operational Efficiency and Resource Management

  1. Implement operational strategies to ensure efficient delivery of services
  2. Support Programme Lead/Manager with coordination of the planning and deployment of resources in support of the programme and operations
  3. Monitor programme expenses to ensure operations are within allocated budgets

Reporting and Communications

  1. Preparing statistics and provide relevant reports as requested
  2. Analyse the collated data and propose recommendations when required
  3. Ensure timely submissions of reports to Funders, i.e. SGE

Job Holder Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma holder within related field
  • Minimum 3 years of related working experience, preferably in a similar setting.
  • At least 2 years experience working with individual with disabilities
  • Prior experience in project/event coordination or management will be an asset
