Job Description:
• Supervise, control, and coordinate all vetting matters for a group of allocated ships.
• Supervise own vessels budget and cost.
• Liaising closely with the ship managers on the reporting, investigation and adequate resolution of incidents, issues, and disputes.
• Monitor and advice that cargo plan and operation of tanker and bulk carrier as ship owner/operator.
• Conduct investigation and root cause analysis for non-conformance reports, accidents, and incidents.
• Coordinate with the ship managers Marine/HSEQ teams regarding significant issues such as vessel rejections, client responses, technical holds, the outcome of the client/management reviews and any other matter that may negatively impact the office/fleet.
• Suggest improvements to ship Managers in analysis and corrective actions for the client observations.
• Monitor / Follow up of the entire vessels with the ship managers in addressing and closing pending matters as ship owner.
• Follow up on close-out of deficiencies from Inspections.
• Working closely with the ship managers to develop a strong safety culture on board the owned vessels.
• Working closely with the related industrial company to develop a own business and owned vessels.
• Prepare management reports and advices for own businesses, investments and vessels in order to enhance our business.
Qualifications:
• Candidate must experience as 2nd officer or more higher class on the tanker and bulker carrier vessel being recruited for.
• Experience in Ship Vetting by Oil Majors, PSC, and Rightship will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Quality Assurance and ISM will be an advantage.
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, integrity, and professionalism.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in written form
