Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop software using JAVA for the Calypso v14.4 package.
- Manage incidents and requests from both business users and other IT teams.
- Analyze enhancement requests and bug-fixes for the software.
- Adhere to the monthly release strategy, following team milestones for analysis, coding, and testing.
- Provide support for the release roadmap during production.
- Offer level 3 application support as an expert.
- Analyze user needs and create software solutions.
- Update and enhance existing software capabilities, directing software testing and validation procedures.
- Collaborate with other engineers to integrate hardware and/or software systems.
Qualifications and Profile:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Calypso developer.
- Strong understanding of Java, PL/SQL, and Linux.
- Experience with Calypso versions higher than v13.
- Expertise in Calypso Back office functionality, including hands-on experience in customizing various Calypso modules, such as Confirmations, Settlement, Position, and Accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of financial assets, including repos, bonds, SLB, and issuances, along with a thorough understanding of the trade lifecycle.
- Experience with regulatory reporting tools like HRF, NORIA, MMSR.
- Proficiency in interfacing Calypso with external systems.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as GIT, MasterDeploy, SVN, build automation tools like JENKINS, and containerization technologies like Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Database expertise in Oracle, Sybase, and MongoBD.
