ORGANISATION PROFILE

We are a small but fast-growing organisation and have been helping children, adolescents, and adults with dyslexia reach their full reading potential in Australia and Singapore since 2008.

We are a looking for two experienced, engaging, empathetic and committed Reading Specialists to join our team.


JOB HIGHLIGHTS

· Training in TRS evidence-based reading intervention programs

· Working directly with international schools

· Small, supportive and experienced team

· Making a positive impact to those who need it

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conduct 1:1 assessments and intervention

· Plan, prepare and teach intervention

· Report writing

· Arrange meetings with parents and teaching staff

· Liaise and give feedback to parents

· Liaise, interact, and give feedback to teaching staff, where required

· Provide high quality, interactive and engaging lessons

· Other administrative and duties when required


REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in either Teaching, Education, English, English Literature or Linguistics

· English as a first language

· At least two years experience working with children

· Enthusiasm for working with children

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be flexible, hardworking, warm, empathetic and patient

· Excellent communication skills with clients and within the team

· Excellent time management skills

· The ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Able to collaborate well with partners, such as school staff and health professionals

· A growth mindset and always ready to learn

· Working with Children background check


EXPERIENCE

At least two years of relevant experience in teaching, speech therapy, educational therapy or tutoring


OTHER SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Strong command of English (written and spoken)


WORKING HOURS

First candidate's workdays are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Second candidate's workdays are Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 5pm.

The successful candidates will split their time between international schools and our Novena office.
