We are looking for a dedicated software developer to join our Reference Data team. The Reference Data Platform team provides solutions for client onboarding and middle office functions. Reference data provides better visibility and insights about different aspects of a trade/investment. With better information about the trade and parties involved, we can identify risks associated with the trade/investment and can manage it.
Responsibilities:
- You would spend 80% of time in hands-on programming.
- You would be responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Markets environment.
- You would involve in the designing, coding, testing, debugging and documentation programs as well as supporting activities for the corporate systems architecture.
- You would work closely with business partners in identifying requirements for system applications.
- You would be managing a high level of risk with in-depth capital markets product knowledge.
- You would provide production support for applications on rota basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science or relevant fields.
- You are a very strong Java / Scala developer with extensive experience building middle-tier services.
- You have a good understanding of SDLC and application of Agile Methodologies including but not limited to automated testing (such as Test-Driven Development), Code Review, Continuous Integration and Version Control Systems.
- You have a good understanding of common algorithms and data structures.
- You have strong knowledge of software best practices (Object-Oriented design, patterns, algorithms, data structures).
- You have a solid understanding of functional programming.
- You have strong problem-solving and analytics skills.
- You are a self-starter and eager learner
