Responsibilities:
- To support your Team Head in managing the RMA team to deliver reliable railway infrastructure for safe passenger service through cost-effective maintenance of the track, conductor rail and civil structure systems respectively
- Achieve complete understanding and alignment to our company Safety & Health, Security and Asset Management policies
- Achieve complete understanding and alignment to our department Vision, Mission and Core Values and communicate these to your RMA team for their necessary complete understanding and alignment
- Achieve complete understanding and alignment to our department maintenance plans
- Participate in night work and emergency recovery activities when necessary
- Achieve operational understanding of Rail Maintenance fundamentals
- Achieve operational understanding of DTL’s Rail Maintenance Preventive Maintenance (PM) Works
- Achieve operational understanding of DTL’s Rail Maintenance Corrective Maintenance (CM) Works
- Achieve operational understanding of our possible mitigation and recovery methods for conditions exceeding the DTL track alignment tolerance limits
- Achieve operational understanding of our detection systems
- Review and participate, when necessary, in the planning of the preventive maintenance (PM) regime for your RMA team to ensure practicality and alignment to their rostered work schedule
- Deploy prudent resource management and prioritization to facilitate productivity and timeliness in implementing the planned RMA PM regime to achieve the New Rail Financing Framework (NRFF) maintenance KPIs
- Review and participate, when necessary, in the planning of the corrective maintenance (CM) regime for your RMA team to ensure practicality and alignment to their rostered work schedule
- Maintain an active and up-to-date database for DTL Rail Replacement Summary
- Track and analyse DTL track alignment data to recommend the next courses-of-action, which may include mitigation and recovery processes
- Develop, review and maintain work instructions and respective risk assessments for your RMA team maintenance processes in a timely manner to ensure the contents are relevant, up-to-date, practical and aligned to OEM recommendations and best practices
- Participate in all maintenance, system and safety audits related to your RMA team
- Develop and communicate emergency response plans and drills to your RMA team for timely implementation when necessary
- Organize regular communication and feedback sessions with your RMA team
- Monitor the performance of each RMA team member to recommend commendation and disciplinary action, when necessary, to your Team Head
- Identify RMA staff with high potential and recommend their progression plans to your Team Head for succession planning
- Support your Team Head in LTA or our department projects related to your RMA team
- Assist in taking over of tracks of DTL new stations and depots
- Manage and supervise contractor maintenance of rail
- Develop and implement failure management and emergency response procedures and processes
Requirements:
- Recognized Degree in Engineering
- Adept in strategic-planning, analysis and decision-making
- Adept in resource and criticality prioritization
- Good interpersonal, communication, collaboration, negotiation and presentation skills
