THE ROLE – Financial Controller


Hegen offers the analytical and data-driven Financial Controller the opportunity to be an instrumental member, shaping and implementing financial strategies aligned with the business objectives. With a data-driven mindset and strong financial analysis skills, you will thrive in our dynamic business environment, serving as a driving force steering Hegen toward continued growth and success.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the development and implementation of finance strategies for Hegen’s parent and subsidiary business to strengthen the current and future business objectives
  • Lead the Finance department, guiding a team of Finance Executives in optimizing business outcomes by reviewing and ensuring the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Identify and present Financial and Non-Financial information to support decision-making and collaborative business partnering.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis, applying foresight to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities, aiding the leadership team in applying new foresights to understand and organisation capabilities
  • Drive forecasting and budgeting processes, aligning the finance function with the strategic direction of the business
  • Monitor budgets, demonstrating agility in response to changes in business priorities, and provide a comprehensive view of financial performance
  • Manage organisation wide business cash flow, providing relevant advisory supported by data backed analysis and recommendations
  • Systematically review and analyze financial performance against key performance indicators across business units, offering targeted remedial solutions to enhance overall performance
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders for effective communication of finance decisions and negotiations
  • Ensure strict conformance to laws and regulations aligning with the business strategy and organisation goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Banking and Finance, or Business with professional certification (e.g. CA, CPA) is highly preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in middle management roles, with a proven track record of leadership and managerial responsibilities
  • Proficienct in the use of financial and analytical software and tools
  • Possess strong analytical skills and capabilities to deliver presentations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to drive effective collaboration
  • High level of adaptability and agility, contributing as a dynamic force for business growth
  • Proven ability to distill complex financial information into actionable intelligence, supporting business growth and fostering value creation
