Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you shall be an integral member of Pelican’s ship management team in Singapore, who manages a fleet of modern high-speed crewboats. You shall be responsible for the smooth implementation of planned and corrective maintenance, always in accordance with the company's Safety Management System.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise dockings, maintenance and repairs on site and ensure maximum uptime for the vessels.
- To assist the vessel’s crew with hands-on maintenance of the assigned vessels when required.
- Liaising with Class, authorities and clients to ensure that vessels meet all regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Monitoring all aspects of vessel performance, including but not limited to speed and fuel consumption.
- Work closely with the HSE Management team to ensure smooth and successful implementation of QHSE system and policies for the Division.
- Preparing analysis and process reports upon completion of dry docking, vessel inspection including operational budgets, and actual expenditures.
- Assisting incident investigations and reporting.
Basic Requirements
- Candidates should possess a tertiary education, with two to three years’ sea-going work experience as second or third Engineer with minimum COC2 certification.
- Expected skillsets include a good command of English (spoken and written), effective communication skills and proficiency in relevant Microsoft Office programs.
- A can-do pro-active attitude and a team player.
- Analytical, resourceful and meticulous in technical trouble shooting and problem solving.
- Must be willing and able to travel on short notice.
- Fluency in spoken Bahasa and familiar with ISM / ISPS would be an advantage.
