RESPONSIBILITIES
The Principal Pricing Analyst plays a pivotal role in demand forecasting and optimizing pricing strategies, particularly focused on Special Price Agreements (SPAs) and corresponding Global Business Processes Oversight across the Sales and Business Unit organizations. This position involves leveraging data analysis, market insights, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate demand forecasts and competitive pricing.
The role encompasses the development and maintenance of pricing models, monitoring of sales activities in the regions, and continuous evaluation of market dynamics to drive profitability and strategic decision making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead pricing analysis and forecasting, considering Special Price Agreements (SPAs) and market dynamics. Critically assess and evaluate data gathered from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain pricing models that incorporate SPAs, sales to distributors (sell-in) and consequent purchases (sell-out) data, as well as volume discounts.
- Monitor global sales rebate programs, revenue reconciliation & related Global Business Processes.
- Refine and report on monthly revenue forecasts by monitoring the demands in the sales regions and the effect of rebate claims.
- Implement demand planning tools and technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams on competitive pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Present pricing analysis findings to management for decision making and discussion.
- Be part of pricing control/co-approval process.
- Perform general support to Management team as need.
- Ad hoc analysis of various revenue related items.
- A Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance and related fields.
- 5 years experience in price and sales analytics, sales revenue/channel management with focus on sales effectiveness.
- Working knowledge of business analytics and visualization tools like MS Power BI.
- SAP working knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus.
- Demonstrates strong ability to perform business analytics using data mining tools and spreadsheets.
- Advanced ability in understanding of data extraction, integration, and delivery to management.
- Extensive experience in analyzing pricing strategies and forecasting revenue.
