Senior Media Marketing Manager to lead Paid Search and Demand Gen performance media programs in the APJ region. For this new role, we are looking for an experienced and strategy media expert who has a thirst for business and thrives on data to drive continued performance improvements to media investments. This new Workmate will work alongside the Global Paid Search Lead and APJ Media Lead, as well as being the local lead in the APJ region, representing the Media Center of Excellence team.
This position is mainly responsible for APJ’s Paid Search program, as well supporting the Demand Gen local regional programs (avg. 50% Paid Search and 50% Demand Gen).
For PPC, you will be planning, developing and overseeing the implementation by our external agency of best-in-class paid search strategies.
The overall objective is to generate traffic and conversions on the website with the goal to help drive revenue targets. This role aligns our paid search programs to drive full funnel integrated marketing programs, with a commitment to analyzing and optimizing program performance for scalable business growth. They will have an excellent knowledge of automated bidding strategies, campaign management platforms and best practices within the industry. They must have prior search engine marketing experience with excellent analytic capabilities, keen business judgment, and the ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
For Demand Gen, you will be managing media plans on behalf of the markets, to ensure that their performance goals are met and optimized. This role will be working closely with the Regional Market Leads and should have previous experience with cross-channel performance marketing, as well as extensive analytics experience.
Responsibilities include.
- Defining, planning, implementation oversight, analyzing and optimizing all APJ Paid Search activities
- Manage and direct media agency for the planning, implementation and reporting of paid performance media
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders to develop paid media strategies aligned with marketing priorities
- Map out and lead global search projects (account audit, new solution launch) aligning efforts with the Global PPC manager, external media agencies and internal teams
- Keep up-to-date with the newest SEM strategies, techniques and best practices
- Collaborate with internal media partners to deliver fully integrated, multimedia programs that drive results
- Act as a strong internal advocate and evangelist for all paid media marketing activities and coordinate training, informational sessions, workshops, etc.
- Maintain close relationships with industry reps to leverage betas and implement any technical opportunities to drive revenue and improve effectiveness
- Set strategic media guidance for end-to-end demand generation media plans
- Collaborate with cross-channel Media CoE SME to ensure best practices and opportunity use of channels
- Steward of paid media activities to ensure investment align to strategy and deliver on KPIs, Media budget maintenance
- Portfolio management, connecting individual campaign efforts to the larger customer journey
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of "hands-on" experience with SEM and proven track record of successful strategy and implementation.
- Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Naver, Yahoo and Bing.
- Proven track record to effectively execute integrated marketing programs on both a strategic and tactical level.
- Exposure to global search marketing strategies and tactics, such as localization and translation of paid and organic search terms and ad copy.
- Experience managing a full service paid media agency with global scope and responsibilities.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Immense attention to detail and extreme focus on quality of results (very important).
- Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful actions from large data sets.
- Excellent multitasker and self-motivator, have the ability to manage time and prioritize, as well as bring outstanding written, verbal communication; works well under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
- Excellent creativity and flexibility. Must be self-motivated and independent, well organized, able to do hands-on work with minimum supervision, and work well with all staff levels.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and how to leverage learnings into Paid Search strategies.
- Experience with GA 360, Google Ads, Google Cloud Suite, Google Keyword Tool, Webmaster Tools, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Ad Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, Campaign Bidding and Management Tools such as Adobe Ad Cloud and Kenshoo.
