Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex broadcast and IT systems in a live television or broadcast environment.
Responsibilities:
- To assist and report to Audio & Comms Manager to ensure smooth running of daily engineering operations.
- To have the ability to solve problems with minimal instruction, independent and adaptable.
- To be flexible with work time, both in the office and overseas as required.
- Conferring with producers, talents, and others to determine and achieve the desired sound for a production.
- Setting up, testing and adjusting broadcast audio equipment and de-rig equipment after event completion.
- To be able to troubleshoot electronic equipment to a system level.
- Operate, maintain, and configure Communication Equipment/ Audio infrastructure from the ground up-
- Well versed in LAWO, RTS, RF equipment and AOIP
- Able to update software and equipment to the latest version from manufacturer.
- Assisting or reporting of Audio / Comms equipment problems and ensure the equipment is repaired on time for next production.
- To introduce, adopt and train team members on latest technologies.
- To be able to direct, instruct and manage assistant engineers and possible system integrators on projects.
- To have excellent oral and written communication skills including conversational English as well as computer skills.
- To be able to draft technical reports.
- To be able to read technical (Auto CAD) engineering drawings and willing to learn.
- Any other ad-hoc duties.
