Job Description
A Research Fellow position is open immediately in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore. Successful candidate is expected to work with a team of experimentalists and computational materials scientists to investigate noncollinear spin Hall effect in chiral antiferromagnets with DFT calculations and experiments.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD degree in Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. They should also have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and able to guide undergraduate students to conduct projects.
Successful candidate is expected to perform DFT calculations to understand the underlying physics mechanism of spin Hall materials. Experience in DFT-based calculations is mandatory. In additional, experiences in electronic structure of advanced materials and machine learning are preferred.
