We are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Service Crew member who can also step into the role of Shift Supervisor when needed. As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional service and maintaining operational excellence during your shift. Responsibilities as a Service Crew Member:

1. Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with orders, menu questions, and special requests.
  • Ensure a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all customers.

2. Order Processing:

  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.

3. Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
  • Assist with cleaning dishes, utensils, and food preparation areas as needed.

4. Cash Handling:

  • Handle customer payments accurately and efficiently using the cash register.
  • Provide correct change, process card payments, and issue receipts.

5. Food Safety:

  • Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure the safe handling, storage, and preparation of food.
  • Monitor food expiration dates and product quality.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Work as part of a team, supporting other service crew members and kitchen staff as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service operations.

Responsibilities as a Shift Supervisor:

7. Leadership:

  • Assume a leadership role during your shift, providing guidance and direction to the service crew.
  • Ensure that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

8. Opening and Closing Duties:

  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures, including setting up and cleaning the restaurant, as well as handling cash registers and reconciling sales.

9. Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and served according to established quality standards.
  • Conduct regular checks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.

10. Customer Concerns:

  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Escalate issues to higher management when necessary.

11. Inventory Management:

  • Assist in managing inventory levels, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.

12. Compliance:

  • Ensure that the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations and all company policies.
  • Conduct shift briefings and safety meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a service crew role in the food service industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Basic math skills for order processing and cash handling.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food handler's certificate (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage for the Shift Supervisor role.
