- Focus: Procurement, Tender/ Bidding, Negotiation skills
- Office location: Singapore, West
- Working hours: 5 days’ work (Monday-Friday) 50 hours work week
The Talent
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or engineering/mechanical or supply chain management
- PtP (Procure-to-Pay) knowledge
- Min preferably 5 to 7 years’ experience in the Buyer or closely related role working in Procurement (Acquisition/procure to pay)
- Organize/participate tender process
- Make appropriate amendments/updates to the existing agreements/orders if necessary
- Procurement / commercial functional expertise
- Strong negotiation, inter-personnel and presentation skills
- Project planning / execution skills
The Job
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Purchases spot equipment, materials, chemicals/catalysts, and service requirements for multiple business lines.
- Processes a queue of requisitions and converts to purchase orders on a daily basis.
- Collects written proposals from vendors as needed.
- Conducts simple negotiations of pricing and general terms & conditions.
- Addresses invoice discrepancies from the purchase order or the goods receipt and approves invoice payment for any additional freight costs not accounted for on purchase order.
- Liaises with the strategic buyer regarding project or turnaround purchases and potential bundles
- Provides support to ensure timely invoice payment.
- Handles any PO (purchase order) maintenance for orders processed (e.g. update PO text, update delivery date, etc.)
