This role will be responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of the work/project site’s safety, health and environment management. He is required to manage a team consists of WSH Officer, WSH Coordinators, Safety Supervisors onsite and ensure that all site operation staff and third parties adhere to the standards of the WSH Act.
Job Description:
- Perform the duties of a WSH Officer as stipulated in the Workplace Safety and Health Regulations, and align with the WSH Act, regulations and Code of Practices.
- Implement a comprehensive Site Safety Management System to manage risks and reduce accidents.
- Implement workplace safety, health and environment programs and initiatives.
- Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the WSH Act.
- Coordinate external audits and maintain EHS documents for ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, Bizsafe certification.
- Ensure all workplace incidents and/or accidents are thoroughly investigated and efficiently closed. Collate and analyse incident/accident statistics, prepare reports, make recommendations and implement control measures to eliminate/minimise the risk of future occurrences.
- Liaise, coordinate and handles all WSH related matters with the relevant authorities such as MOM, NEA, HAS, SCDF and etc.
- Stay abreast of legislative requirements and alert of any changes. Share and disseminate relevant information effectively to enable continual improvement.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/ Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Specialized Diploma in WSH.
- MOM’s registered WSH Officer.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in WSH. Candidates with experience in the construction industry and/or LTA projects preferred.
- Attentive to details and have good administrative and report writing skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Require to travel different project sites.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8am to 5.30pm, Saturday: 8am to 12pm (entitle to 1 Sat Off per month, subject to monthly work schedule)
