Job Responsibilities:


Leadership

  • Supports MDs, EDs and VPs voluntarily and proactively so that projects can be carried out smoothly
  • Understands/assesses the intentions of MDs, EDs and VPs, and aspires to actively expand his/her areas of responsibilities when carrying out projects
  • Accurately understands the contents/difficulty levels of assignments, prioritizes tasks, and manages his/her time appropriately
  • Supervises the performances of Analysts in project teams and takes responsibility over the accuracy of their work products

General Knowledge of Industrial Sector(s)

  • Has knowledge across several industrial sectors and understands how such sectors are perceived by the market
  • Assesses the trends of global capital markets primarily of Japan, Asia and Oceania and monitors the behaviors of the competition

Experience in/Knowledge of the Investment Banking Business

  • Has experience in advisory business
  • Has thorough understanding of the overall transaction processes based on actual deal experience
  • Thoroughly understands the principle accounting and legal issues surrounding transactions

Project Execution Capability

  • Creates a transaction timetable and promotes smooth project execution vis-à-vis client project team members and external advisors
  • Builds good relationships with the project team members of client companies
  • Has the ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments from different projects by effectively prioritizing the tasks
  • Proactively seeks smooth communication within project teams while attaching importance to transactional confidentiality
  • Thoroughly reviews the required tasks and provides Analysts appropriate instructions so as to achieve efficiency/avoid needless work
  • Can analyze/assess businesses multi-dimensionally and come up with a fair valuation range based on understanding of characteristics unique to individual industries
  • Keeps a close watch on capital market trends, assesses their impact on projects and reviews appropriate measures
  • Prepares/completes high quality presentation materials within a given time frame

Creativity

  • Promotes with enthusiasm changes that can improve business efficiency

Resource Education and Training

  • Gives accurate feedback to Analysts/provides appropriate developmental advices
  • Builds/maintains good relationship with the support staff

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Banking
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Corporate Finance or Merger & Acquisition
  • Experience in Deals and Origination
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong financial and modelling skills
  • Excellent attention to details and strong analytical skills
  • Strong work ethics and good team player
  • Highly motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of legal, accounting and tax practices in Merger & Acquisition transactions.
