The main duties of this role include:
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services to customers and prospective customers.
• Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
• Evaluate customer requirements and prepare quotations for submission to customers.
• Communicate orally and in writing with customers, engineering departments, other company personnel and vendors providing technical and commercial recommendations and assistance.
• Provide guidance to the engineering department, and draughtsman assigned to complete layout and detailed drawings.
• Meet with customers on site to discuss and analyze customers’ requirements.
• Prepare material and other relevant product specifications for internal and external use.
• Responsible for liaising with head office and submitting weekly sales activity reports and other routine reporting, as necessary.
• Help clients solve problems with applications and installed equipment.
• Identify and report on competitor activity and plan/discuss accordingly.
• Identify and discuss marketing opportunities.
• Manage, maintain, and grow existing customer business.
• Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in engineering
• 3 years’ experience from Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics engineering industry
• Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D CAD drawings
• Able to produce well laid out, accurate and detailed quotations and reports
• Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
• Experience of developing business and hitting targets
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to convey sales and design concepts/information to clients through a range of platforms
• Ability to quickly establish and where appropriate further develop effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to find solutions to problems in an efficient and effective manner
• Deliver with the highest integrity the best service to all our customers
