Job Title: Business Manager – International paper products trading business


Job Overview:

The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of business operations to ensure organizational efficiency, growth, and profitability. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, team leadership, and collaboration with different departments.


Responsibilities:


1. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify business opportunities.

2. Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement.

3. Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Streamline processes and procedures to optimize workflow and resource utilization.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a cross-functional team.
  • Create framework and coordination between multinational offices of group companies and associates based in Hong Kong, India and P.R.C.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

5. Client and Stakeholder Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.

6. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive business growth.

7. Risk Management:

  • Assess and mitigate risks related to business operations.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or Commerce is required.
  • Proven experience in business management in the paper products business is essential.
  • Proficiency in ERP management and implementation (NetSuite) is required.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and business operations.
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel, if necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

4. Negotiation and advocacy skills – result orientation.


Remuneration:


Will be at par and commensurate with the skill set of the candidate. Annual CTC of up to SGD 120,000 is available for the position but is not a constraint for the right candidature.
