Roles and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate user / process owner in defining and specifying project / work scope. He is typically involved in the entire design process and makes decisions throughout, including the technology, type of equipment to use, bid evaluation and supplier selection, the layout of equipment and operational considerations.
- Lead in search, technical review and evaluation of applicable technology, process, equipment and / or material proposals;
- Liaise with the relevant authorities to apply and obtain the required approvals and project permits;
- Schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project.
- Prepare procurement document including drafting of tender specifications, execution and evaluation;
- Manage consultant, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers to ensure a successful implementation of the assigned projects. In charge of performance management of vendors.
- Monitor and track the project timeline and budget; Assure the accuracy of financial forecasts, which tie-in to project schedules.
- Liaise with internal functional departments such as Finance and ESH and carry out site inspections to manage and follow through the project progresses;
- Provide technical and engineering support to industrial waste treatment plant operation and process improvement work.
Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of hand on experience in project management of industrial process plant procurement, construction, installation and maintenance turnaround;
- Field engineering and maintenance experience in chemical process plants or industrial waste treatment systems will be an added advantage;
- Self –driven and able to perform with minimal supervision;
- Systematic, analytical and good in writing technical evaluation report; and
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
