Job Overview: The Tax and Business Manager role at Minor Food Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd. is a multifaceted position encompassing responsibilities in tax and finance management, and corporate secretary support. This role is instrumental in maintaining tax and regulatory compliance while contributing to strategic decision-making within the MINT organization based in Singapore. The individual will be a vital asset to the Minor Group, supporting over 10 entities in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance/Tax Planning Restructure
- Ensure thorough tax compliance for the Singapore subsidiaries within the Minor Group. Key responsibilities include:Reviewing the preparation and filing of tax returns
Managing inbound and outbound withholding tax reporting
Coordinating with other offices and external advisors for foreign tax compliance, filings, and other tax-related matters
Provide support to the Bangkok Shared Service Office on various tax restructuring projects.
Corporate Governance and Strategy
- Support the holding of board meetings of the Singapore subsidiaries within Minor Group. This include:Prepare and manage materials for board meetings, including agendas, minutes and presentations.
Provide administrative assistance to the board, including meeting coordination, documentation, and logistics.
Support board-level decisions related to financial matters and corporate strategy.
Acknowledge and review legal documentation that need to be executed by the directors.
Facilitate communication between management, board members, shareholders, and relevant stakeholders.
Financial Management:
- Work with Shared Services Team to:Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
Oversee timely and accurate filing of financial reports, and tax returns with regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, or a business related field.
- Proven track record of hands-on experience in tax compliance, tax planning, and restructuring within a corporate setting.
- Some understanding of international tax regulations, including experience in managing inbound and outbound withholding tax reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations for tax optimization.
- Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, board responsibilities, or related legal and financial matters.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
