About the Role
As part of the Global Program team the Ops SME compliments the group by specifically being responsible for providing warehouse operational expertise for the contract logistics business, across the globe. Engages, communicates, advocates good warehouse operations and process practices to the wider team.
- Empowered to provide operational solution decisions for the to-be process based on team input and own experience within the team workshops
- Operational input to process design, automation, business architects and IT team members
- Management of assigned operational document reviews to time
- Lead optimization of co-designed operational processes
- Support overall operational and business solution activity including processes, layout, material flow, storage/inventory management, planning and reporting activities
- Support document creation of specific solution in conjunction with global, regional and site owners
- Contribute to and/or facilitate requirements workshops as needed
- Define and own the global template solution operationally in line with industry BKM (Best Known Methods)
- Identify and manage risk to program objectives from operational perspective
- Communicate and drive ops process work packages with country implementation teams, ensuring aligned outputs
Qualifications
- Operational management experience across FMCG operations both forward and reverse including various technologies and system
- Ops Subject Matter Expert
- Develop and build virtual teams
- Able to articulate operational principles to the team
- Knowledge of a wide variety of operation types
- An understanding of different routes to market e.g., Retail, e-commerce etc.
- Effective communication and presentation
- Work well under pressure, and able to handle internal and customer demands effectively
- Analytical and logical approach
- Good and positive attitude
- Team player
- Flexible to travel for business trips
- Computer savvy with good working knowledge of business tools
