Assistant Unit Manager

Overall Responsibility of the Role:


The Assistant Unit Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and management of the unit. This position requires a blend of leadership, organizational skills, and a strong customer service orientation. The Assistant Unit Manager reports to the Unit Manager and assists in overseeing various aspects of daily operations. Besides managing back-of-house operations, the AUM will fully assume the UM's responsibilities in her/his absence.


Job Responsibilities:


Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations in the Business Units.
  • Establish good relations with the clients or customers and handle feedback promptly.
  • Work closely with the client on catering requests.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve complaints.
  • Responsible for Inventory Stocks Management.
  • Upkeeping the facility and ensuring routine equipment maintenance.
  • Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled.
  • Supervise and ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene as well as the quality level of product and service, compliant with the company’s health and safety standards.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Compass Singapore HSE systems and procedures.
  • Follow all Emergency Response plans on site.
  • Follow procedures for identifying, assessing and controlling hazards and risks.
  • Adhere to and always maintain food handling standards and food safety plan.

Team Management

  • Work with the Unit Manager to support on team member’s training, performance appraisal, daily briefing, weekly update and monthly ops meeting.
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships.
  • Responsible for Team Learning and Development.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in F&B Management or equivalent
  • At least 3 years in F&B service industry with supervisory skills
  • Passion in F&B service industry
  • Good leadership quality with positive working attitude, good teamwork player & highly self-motivated sales professional
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, PR skill & customer service oriented
