Astek is looking for Calypso Java Developer to support our project based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Write code and tests, build prototypes, solve issues and profile using JAVA for Calypso v16 package.
- Perform UI tests to optimize performance
- Optimization of web applications for performance and scalability
- Apply monthly release strategy, following the team’s milestones for analysis, coding and testing.
- Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met and allow for regression testing
- Gather and address technical and design requirements
- Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features.
- Application support (level 3 - expert), troubleshoot and fix issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Information Technology or Computer Science degree or equivalent.
- Proven work experience as a Back-end Calypso developer using Java, PL/SQL and Linux for at least 5 years.
- Experience on Calypso versions higher than v13.
- Expertise in Calypso Back office functionality with hands-on experience in customizations of different Calypso modules:

-Events
-Filters
-Reporting Framework

-Message / Swift messages
-Transfers
-Settlement Delivery Instructions
-Accounting

-Reconciliation functionalities
- Familiar with Data base: Oracle, Sybase, and/or MongoBD
- Experience in GIT, MasterDeploy, SVN, JENKINS, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.
- In depth knowledge of Confirmations, Settlement, Position and Accounting modules.
- Understanding of financial assets (repos, bonds, SLB, issuances) and trade lifecycle.
- Experience with regulatory reporting HRF, NORIA, and MMSR.
- Willing to do On-call rotation with team mates to cover night and week-end support.
