Job Description:
- Handle full set of shipping documentations (Processing of import & export documents (invoice, bill of ladings, packing list, certificate of origin, permit declarations, insurance and etc.) for air freight & sea freight
- Letter of credit (LC) negotiation via bank
- To co-ordinate with warehouse, forwarder/carrier for export and import shipment preparation to ensure timely clearance & delivery of shipments in compliance to documentations and/or customer's requests
- Update and track freight cost every fortnight
- Negotiate rates with carriers
- Other ad-hoc administrative duties as and when assigned
Working Hours and Location:
- Monday to Friday (9.00am to 6.30pm)
- Ubi Area (5 min walk from Ubi MRT)
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Business, Logistic, Supply Chain Management or other related courses with at least 5 years working experience on import & export shipping documents
- Knowledge of Letter of Credit, D/P & D/A and preparing all the necessary docs is critical
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Well versed in Tradenet is an advantage
- Teamwork and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Able to work under pressure to ensure timely shipping schedule
- Organized and detailed-oriented person
- Bilingual in both English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates)
