Job Description
Common accountabilities:
- Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure team performs at a high level. Is recognized as a leader in own area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.
- Understands how main business drivers may impact on own area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.
- Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions. Leads projects or contributes to broad cross-functional projects. May contribute to planning of resources and budget.
Specific accountabilities:
Engagement management:
* Plan and manage all solution-oriented activities of IT bid projects including additional services
* Be the prime Amadeus point of contact for the customer on functional and technical matters
* Lead amadeus functional and technical SMEs interacting with the customer
* Ensure optimised use of customer and Amadeus ressources during the engagement phases (familiarisation, gaps indentification, gaps description, scope optimisation...)
* Coordinate the joint elaboration of the solution design
* Identify and manage all potential competitive threats and risk associated with the solution
* Ensure effective handover of IT sales projects to project implementation teams
RFP/RFI engagements and unsolicited proposals:
* Set up high-level project timelines for the RFP answer. Identify & secure resource requirements from relevant groups (PMs/Dev/ADP) and coordinate all components/inputs to the answer
* Produce solution-related documentation for IT customer proposals
* Produce solution-related documentation for IT customer proposals & prepare the response document for submission
*Lead all T2RL bids with all processes complied as per T2RL portal requirements.
Scope definition and approval process
* Support Technical Scoping workshops in identifying and referencing all interfaces to be developped. Interaction with Amadeus and customer senior management required
* Coordinate different functional streams on the customer side with Amadeus PM and Product Definition teams in order to ensure end to end solution consistency
* Minimize functional and technical gaps throughout the sales engagement
* Coordinate the approval process ensuring sign off of customer and Amadeus groups
Sales support during Commercial and Contractual discussions
* Ensure alignment between the proposed solution with the commercials
* Support Sales in contract negotiations for solution-related issues and review solution-related contract schedules
Portfolio evolution
* Feed market & customer solutions requirements to Product Management for product qualification (private or community product, itemised product ot included in baseline)
* Whenever possible, analyse solution offerings of competitors and inform Product Management and IT Marketing accordingly
About ideal candidate
- Master degree in computer science, or MBA
- Proven experience and passion for pre-sales, experience on RFP/RFI process, T2RL processes, hands-on live product demos
- Minimum 10yrs experience in Airline IT product presales or product marketing.
- Proven skills in using data to drive solution decisions.
- Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
- Effective communication skills towards customers, executive stakeholders, and teams.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt.
- Experienced in project management, stakeholder coordination & senior management reporting.
