Roles & Responsibilities
The Production Planner is first point contact for customer services in relation to queries in regards to lead times, scheduling and delivery for orders related to production. They are responsible for issuing and tracking of work orders, communicate with internal customers (as well as external customers upon required) of the orders and other requirement and response promptly of the planning and information of job completion in advance. They are also responsible for expediting and prioritizing work orders and coordinating and managing weekly and monthly production and resources planning.
Key Responsibilities:
· The Production Planner is first point contact for customer services in relation to queries in regards to lead times, scheduling and delivery for orders related to production. They are responsible for issuing and tracking of work orders, communicate with internal customers (as well as external customers upon required) of the orders and other requirement and response promptly of the planning and information of job completion in advance. They are also responsible for expediting and prioritizing work orders and coordinating and managing weekly and monthly production and resources planning.
· Understand and analyze of sales order releases with respect to in-house production (Threading, Duct, and material requirements);
· Contact and follow up with customer services and/or customers for complete information whenever required;
· Reviews Master Production Schedule and work orders, expediting and prioritizing work orders and revises schedule according to work order specifications;
· Coordinates and expedites the placement of purchase for tools, material and service and/or delivery of material;
· Preparation of the Production related delivery DO in the ERP system and making the arrangement with logistics partner for delivery;
· Coordinate work order scheduling with Production Supervisor/Leader/Lead Operator;
· Schedules and coordinates within or between departments (sales, inventory, production and logistic) to expedite production and delivery;
· To follow up work orders and notify customer service, sales or customers of availability/lead-times or any activity concerning their order status;
· Initiates replacement orders for lost, damaged or discrepant items;
· Support manufacturing practices such as Lean Manufacturing strategies.
· Managing and preparing daily, weekly and monthly production schedule and reports.
· Assisting with generating purchase order, close follow up on the receipt of goods ensuring in line with agreed timelines;
· Coordinating with Sub-Contractor for services, close monitoring and follow up to ensure agreed deadlines are met;
