JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Snr Customer Service Executive
Location: Lower Delta Road
Reporting Relationship: Manager
The individual is required to handle customer inquiries/ request for quotation, bookings, and coordination. It would include create bookings in Company’s proprietary freight forwarding system, and coordinating with carrier, depot, trucking, insurance, and customs clearance.
More specific roles and responsibilities are as follows:
Scope
1. Handle full set of import and export shipments and shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Delivery Order, Permit Declaration, Notice of Arrival, etc
2. Prompt Response and close communication with vendors, customers, carriers and overseas agents
3. Offer solutions to client for shipment /space
4. To resolve routine and non-routine issues or complaints from customers.
5.Sourcing and negotiation of rates
6. Billing and closing of job files
7. Accurarcy checks on job files in in-House Freight Management System
8. Prepare Reports
9.Provide guidance and solution to juniors
10.Top Line Growth and Responsibilities through retention and penetration efforts, and business development with Network Agent Partners and House Accounts.
11. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management
Qualification and Experiences
- Minimum 4 years working experience in Freight Forwarding
- A general diploma in Freight Forwarding / Logistics is preferred. However, candidate without above qualification but with multiple years of proven relevant track records will be considered too.
- Proficiency in English and 2ndLanguage skills
- IT Savvy
- Working knowledge of Import and Export processes.
- Ability to keep up the pace and stay efficient at the same time is required.
- Ability to find suitable solutions that work for the situation at hand.
