Roles and Responsibilities:
- Rewinding, Overhaul and refurbishment of Generators and equipment on-site and within Workshops in accordance with approved work instructions.
- Generator experience to include but not limited to dismantling, rewinding, brazing (induction/torch/resistance), insulating, bracing, re-wedging, working with epoxies, retaining ring removal & refitting.
- Operating Mobile Equipment, Tools & Machinery efficiently and accurately
- Maintenance of work areas, tooling and equipment.
- Performance of work in a safe manner in accordance with laws and GE policy.
- To be flexible within the bounds of their appropriate skill level about tasks that are required to be performed.
- To work in accordance with approved work instructions, drawings, and direction of work manager
- To work in a manner appropriate of that expected of GE Employees, regarding OHS&E, Quality and reliability.
- Ensures that the correct documentation is used and filled out as specified on Inspection and test plans, work instructions and any quality documents.
- Ensures that all specified records are correctly taken, reviewed and approved.
- Ensures that work is carried out in a safe manner and that relevant Safety and Quality documentation is complete for the task in hand
- Identifies non-conformances and tags and segregates non-conforming items including limited shelf life items with expired dates and report to the manager.
- Ensures all measuring and test equipment is correctly handled and stored and is calibrated prior to use. Records use and calibration details onto record sheets
- Ensures all lifting equipment is correctly used, and prior to use confirms its current inspection status
- Ensures all work under their control is properly protected against damage whilst in the Workshop or on-site and correctly packages equipment for transport to ensure protection against damage.
- Complete all online and classroom training sessions.
