Engineering:
· Participate in several phases of Projects from concept development, tender, bids, FEEDs, construction, commissioning, execution, modification to completion
· Participate in designing the FPSO, typically including:
Ø Contribute with input to philosophies and design specification for Process
Ø Participate in preparation of technical specifications for topside process modules
Ø Help to develop PFDs, P&IDs, data sheets, etc.
Ø Help to develop material take-off and cost input for Process discipline
Ø Help to ensure the design meets regulatory, class, client and corporate requirements
Ø Give input to the master equipment list
Ø Perform Process calculations and simulations with guidance
Ø Participate in project HAZOP sessions
· Participate in Process discipline activities and provide input to develop and maintain company engineering standards and best practices within the field
· Actively contribute to the development of relevant RFQ’s for module yards, integration yards, newbuild shipyards and equipment packages and prepare technical bid evaluations (input)
· Follow-up with design development, construction and testing activities
· Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements
· Proactively support and cooperate with all engineering disciplines to achieve optimal design results including relevant input and comments to other discipline deliveries with guidance
· Work closely with and actively support supply chain, estimation, planning and other project teams
· Provide technical clarifications towards clients, sub suppliers, class and yard with guidance
· Support Technical Maintenance & Support team, Operation Managers and offshore units as and when required, including visiting Units in operation as needed for technical support and troubleshooting
Construction (Yard phase)
· Act as Operations focal point for leak testing activities
Ø Taking part in Commissioning activities
Ø Collation of comments and test pack review
Ø Review P&ID’s to gauge scope of testing and use engineering knowledge to question test boundaries
Ø Participate in the leak testing when commenced
· Take part in authoring, reviewing and commenting on Operational procedures
Ø Review and comment on new BWO operations documents from a process perspective
Ø Review and comment on client supplied subsea operating guides form a process perspective
· Start-up planning
Ø Preparation and review of start up plans
Ø Assist in closure of actions
· System line walking
Ø Process familiarisation
Ø P&ID line walking to ensure drawings are correct
Ø Line walk for final acceptance on commissioning handover
· Operations representative for some commissioning activities
Ø Attend on Operations behalf to witness commissioning and testing
Ø Be local in the ICSS testing to learn how the ICSS works
Ø Review control loops etc to gain knowledge of the different control systems
· Operations representative in meetings such as procedural HAZOP, ALARP workshops and planning meetings
Ø Attend as Operations representative and add input from engineering experience
Proactively support and cooperate with all disciplines to achieve optimal results.
Operations:
· Assist the relevant unit in all matters relevant to Process and Safety
· Liaison with the Asset Maintenance team and actively contribute with technical and advisory support to Offshore Management Team, Asset Manager and Technical and Maintenance Managers in terms of Process Systems
· Review and assist in providing the engineering solutions for Technical Query and Management of Change Request from the Facility
· Preparation of process deliverables in support of work pack preparation including; PFDs, P&IDs, Equipment and Instrument Datasheets, etc.
· Perform and check process design calculations and process simulations
· Provide input to Asset Planning on modification scopes; engineering, fabrication and implementation phases.
· Support studies including HAZOP, HAZID, Risk Assessments as required.
· Provide input for variation orders, including cost estimates and justification.
· Actively contribute to Process discipline activities and provide input to develop and maintain company engineering standards and best practices within the field
· Continuously make suggestions for improvements in all spheres of influence
