Job description:
- Responsible to develop and review electrical design plans, specifications, and construction documents for the project.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to the electrical design team, ensuring that electrical systems are designed and installed according to project standards and codes.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical systems are integrated correctly into the building design.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs related to electrical systems and equipment and provide timely feedback to the design team.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that electrical systems are installed correctly and according to the design plans and specifications.
- Manage the commissioning and start-up of electrical systems and equipment, including testing and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support to the construction team, including addressing technical issues, resolving conflicts, and managing change orders related to electrical systems.
- Review engineering designs and calculations to ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Job requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and other related system.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to electrical systems.
- Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
