Responsibilities: Responsible for producing timely and accurate consolidation of group accounts and annual financial statements. Produce insightful analysis of results including retrospective interpretation of performance, understanding of major business drivers, KPI’s, trend analysis, and predictive forecasting. Preparation and consolidation of group cash flow forecasting, monthly management reports, annual budgets and other regular forecasts as required. Manage the group’s external audit process. Build robust processes to ensure the integrity of reported information and achieving more timely and accurate financial information output for decision making. Contribute to the strategic planning of the business by providing financial insights and advice to business function teams and senior management. Proactively develop a good domain knowledge of the market and operations of all group entities. Conduct regular internal audits, systematically reviewing financial records and operational processes to ensure compliance, identify potential risks, and recommend strategic improvements. Implement a vigilant approach to identify variances and discrepancies, contributing to the maintenance of stringent internal controls and the enhancement of organizational efficiency. Collaborate with individual accountants working for group entities and subsidiaries and cover their absence, whenever required. Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development team on credit related issues including deal structuring to control credit risk. Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with various financial and banking institutions. Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards and local laws and regulations across all group companies. Interact with senior members of the Group in operational, commercial, legal, and other executive roles to understand the factors affecting the Group’s financial performance. Travelling to group locations may be required.
Qualifications: Experienced qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, prior experience in group consolidation is mandatory. Experience of working for a complex international business environment with multiple divisions and/or revenue streams Leadership and people management experience, good communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels. Proven track record in strategic planning and driving business performance. Firm understanding of corporate governance and other regulatory requirements. Knowledge of corporate tax would be beneficial.
