This is dynamic business partner role supporting the project leaders on project financials and performance. You will work closely with the project teams on project related matters and the GL team during month end close to ensure accurate recording of costs and revenue. You will take the lead on budget preparation for projects under your charge and assist with audit queries during the year end audit.
Responsibilities:
1. Review contracts, understand contract provisions, fee basis, billing milestones and billing mechanisms. Ensure timely billings to contract, collections as projects progress for projects assigned.
2. Ensure project account setup on accounting system is adequately structured for cost monitoring, billing and collection purposes.
3. Review on a monthly basis, project cost charges and investigate variances. Prepare accrual lists for accrual of project costs.
4. Prepare monthly project reports and engage project leaders on project progress, performance and KPI discussions. Represent projects at financial meetings and present analysis.
5. Support projects on preparation of budgets, rolling forecasts, cost projections and keeping costs up to date. Monitor risk and opportunities and quantify costs and revenue impact.
6. Prepare audit schedules and compile information for external and internal auditors as and when required.
7. Participate in semi-annual budget exercise, preparing budgets for the respective project within assigned portfolio.
8. Assist with the monthly preparation of Division reports and identify areas for digitalization and improvement.
9. Support the ERP system upgrade and migration planned for second half of 2024.
Requirement:
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA with at least 3 years in project accounting or project finance related role. Candidates holding a diploma in accounting pursuing the ACCA are also encouraged to apply.
- Good understanding of FRS 115
- Strong financial modelling skills, Advanced EXCEL user
- Prior working knowledge of ORACLE/Hyperion advantageous
- Keen interest in dashboards and RPA
