Job Descriptions:
- Petrochemical Trader has main purpose to maximize profitability from trading on Petrochemical product market by making, positioning, and trading within approved limit and policies and procedures (Petrochemical Feedstock, Olefins & Derivative, Aromatics and Derivative, Solvent and Chemicals) and carry out the policy plans and strategies outline from Head of Petrochemical Trading Book.
- Analyze market situation, trends, supply, demand, environmental factors and be able to make the trading strategic plan.
- To establish close relationships with potential suppliers and buyers.
- Negotiation and decision making to procure and sell petrochemical products at profitable level.
- Search for arbitrage opportunity in Petrochemical market
- Analyze risk management and execute trading papers to maximize profit or minimize loss.
- Construct portfolio of Petrochemical trading product, by seeking higher margin trade and diversify portfolio to reduce risk.
- Operate in accordance with work procedure which is in line with mother company policy, business plan (target), rules and regulations.
- Seeking new business opportunities related to Petrochemical products.
- Prepare effective trading operations, deal administrative of physical trading.
- Cooperate with related internal and external parties systematically regarding significant concerns i.e. risk management, accounting & financial, operations.
- Synergize international trading business with mother company to maximize profit to PTT Group
- To comply with PTT internal policy and regulation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petrochemical Engineering, Sciences, Economics or Business Management.
- Master’s degree in Petrochemical Engineering, Sciences, Economics or Business Management.
- Over 3 years of experience in Petrochemical, oil and gas industry
- At least 2 years overseas/international business management experience; can effectively leverage internal networks and has good, detailed knowledge of PTT Group business.
- Proficiency in Thai language as the incumbent needs to work closely with Thai-speaking parties.
- Special knowledge: PTTPLC policy / TBU policy / TBU operation
- Acute business sense and solid experience in overseas/international business management.
- Good in negotiation and coordination with counterparties and related parties.
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills.
