Setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and food scales
· Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, food preparation, and dish plating
· Studying each recipe and gathering all necessary ingredients.
· Understanding customers’ needs and adjusting recipe accordingly.
· Maintaining highest standard for food safety and quality, while adhering to all regulations.
· Cooking food in a timely manner.
· Maintaining a clean work and kitchen area.
· Work with restaurant manager to assess and stock up raw materials and supplies.
· Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
· Occasionally takes on extra duties, such as cleaning, when the kitchen is short-staffed or the restaurant is particularly busy.
· Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces.
MINIMUM 3-4 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN LUCKNOWI CUISINE
