Job Description
As a Director in the Singapore office, you will be leading various types of cross-border projects, especially with Japanese companies. You will discuss top-management issues with executives in Japanese company including non-English speakers. Your role is support growth of global business of Japanese companies, especially for expanding client’s business to ASEAN including Singapore. You are also expected to find the investment opportunities with your digital related experience for joint venture business with Japanese companies. You will be setting the tone, pace and direction of our team’s research and analysis efforts, sharing your point of views on business issues, trends and anticipating the impact on the client’s business, with the aim of developing strategic recommendations, across a variety of industries. You will also be a key contributor in ensuring that project outputs meet or exceed clients' expectations by effectively managing the clients and your team members.
Your day-to-day tasks would include project planning, client project communication and facilitation of client engagements, conducting research and stakeholder interviews, business analysis, coaching of team members, developing client presentations, and/or contributions to proposal efforts. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and getting exposure to diverse industries, various business topics and different client issues.
Under the strong demand of building up digitalization capability from clients, you are expected to work on Strategy and Digital related projects.
Requirements
· Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier university
· Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in consulting / corporate strategy / market research
· Moderate-Business level English language skills to communicate with multi-country team across Southeast Asia countries.
· Excellent business communication skills in Japanese to be able to manage presentations and in-depth discussions of business strategies and executions with Japanese client management/team members in Japan headquarters, most of whom do not speak English.
· Consulting project experience to handle Japanese clients will be preferred.
· Ability to discuss and negotiate advanced strategies in both Japanese and English.
· Project management experiences with a strong track record of leading projects from start to end
· Experience in top-tier Management consulting firm is preferable
· In order to attract Japanese companies to invest in Singapore and Southeast Asia, especially in the growing industry of digital related investment. The candidate should be fluent in Japanese and understand the culture of Japanese companies.
· Ability to promote investment and business development in all Southeast Asia, with Singapore as a base.
· Ability to develop business in digital related business.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (which includes both quantitative and qualitative orientation)
· Able to development of junior staff
· Able to train and mentor team members to deliver client-ready outputs
· Strong sense of ownership on the business – strive to exceed expectations of clients and seniors to deliver the best results for the firm
