Project Planning Stage
- To familiarise with Centralised Cooling System (CCS), design concept, drawings & documents, scope of work together with the appointed project engineers for each HDB District.
- To familiarise with site, set up working space in HDB main contractor site office.
- To assist with checking method statement, shop drawings and submission documents of MEP contractor based on contract document and document submission from suppliers.
Project Implementation Stage
- To conduct daily morning toolbox meetings, and ensure contractors uphold safety measures on site.
- Participate in daily evening meeting before site work ends and summarise findings, obtain MEP contractor work plan
- To submit daily site survey report to PM & project email address.
- Update site log daily and upkeep shop drawings, master construction schedules and delivery records.
- To monitor and ensure that site works are carried out according to contract and shop drawings.
- To identify site issues and work with engineer to resolve problems.
- To receive the PSE equipment together with PSE supplier, MEP contractor. Verify the quantity and state of equipment on the basis of bill of lading on site.
- To conduct line checks to ensure the system are installed as per design according to P&ID, SLD and GA.
- To witness the site tests according to the criteria and method statement.
- To assist with carrying out pre-commissioning and testing & commissioning of CCS system according to contract / method statements.
- Enforce the safety mindset/culture for all staff deployed on site, MEP contractor as well as PSE supplier representatives.
- To work with the MEP Contractor’s Design For Safety Professional and Safety Officer to develop safety plan and measures to be implemented on-site.
- Work with the safety team who will conduct weekly work site safety inspections.
Project Closure Stage
- To assist with creating defect punch list to identify all defects and clearing defects to ensure smooth operation of system.
- To assist with checking the As-built drawings/O&M manual submissions by contractor.
- To assist with handing over the CCS system to O&M team.
What You’ll Need:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline
- The RTO shall be accredited by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and/or Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
- The RTO shall have at least 3-5 years of experience as a RTO, of which at least 1-2 years shall be in supervision of works involving installation and T&C for chilled water plant and distribution pipework.
