The Role Responsibilities

· Provide timely market updates and accurate product information to clients and stakeholders

· Offer appropriate solutions with consideration of clients’ risk profile and hedging/ investment objectives across products such as FX, Fixed Income and Unit Trusts

· Proactively engage and work with Relationship Managers to identify client opportunities

· Ensure prompt and accurate execution of clients’ orders

· Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal compliance policies & processes

Strategy

· Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate for the role

Business

· Responsible for the delivery of CMPS financial objectives

Processes

· Responsible for ensuring that process and procedure are followed as per the Operational Risk Framework in the course of their work

People & Talent

· Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners, ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks

Risk Management

· Ensure major risks are identified, logged on a timely basis and remediation plans are in place for all identified gaps

Governance

· Ensure no governance breaches, adherence to sales process and all identified gaps remediated.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

· Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

· Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

· Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

· Education: Valid certification in CMFAS Modules 1b, 5, 6, 6a, 8 & 8a

· Demonstrates strong Business Communication

· 7 years of Treasury Specialist experience
