Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., A*STAR Research Institutes, A*STAR Biomedical Research Council (BMRC), A*STAR Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) and Innovation & Enterprise (I&E), Corporate Group and HQ Procurement) to forecast demand and to identify, execute new and/or existing Demand Aggregation projects in Consumables and Services to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
- Managing a list of approved suppliers and perform as functional bridge amongst suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. Evaluate and select suppliers based on performance and quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain.
- Coordinating the administrative tasks (i.e., business review meetings, etc) with the suppliers.
- Preparing and populating monthly reports.
- Participating and assisting with ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
- Degree in any relevant fields with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in biomedical or engineering consumables purchasing is advantages
- Possess strategic thinking skills and attention to details.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
