Brief Description
· Leading multiple projects for Process design work based on standard company procedure/other procedures. Timely completion of process design and process engineering deliverables.
· Adherence to Dept./Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems.
· Should have strong communication skills.
· Overview of work progress and work-hour usage.
· Working within allocated budgets.
· Meet client expectations and maintain long-term relationship with client.
· Able to deliver projects with multi office execution.
Minimum Job Requirements
A degree in Chemical Engineering Discipline with Minimum 10 years in Process Department of a consultancy organization. Candidate should possess knowledge in carrying out basic and detailed engineering work. Candidate should have experience of working for pharma projects. Candidate should have knowledge of following:
· Preparing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).
· Candidate should be able to carry out hydraulic calculations.
· Candidate should be well versed with safety valve device sizing in line with API-520/521 or client approved standards.
· Candidate should be capable of generating equipment data sheets, IPDS and working on packages in close coordination with interdiscipline engineers.
· Candidate should be able to perform process calculations like heat & mass balance, utility summary and equipment sizing.
· Candidates should be able to carry out Capacity Mapping for Pharmaceutical Projects such Bio tech, OSD and API.
· Exposure of simulation software’s such as HYSYS, ASPEN, HTRI.
· Should possess knowledge of Area classification and man material flow concepts.
· Should be well aware of regulatory requirements of USFDA, MHRA and WHO etc.
· Should possess knowledge on equipment selection.
· Should be able to participate in PHA, HAZOP sessions and close PHA recommendations.
· Should be able to support Sales and Project Managers for any new prospectus and proposals.
· Should be able to guide young process engineers.
Measurement and Performance
Through regular contact with discipline and project personnel and by regular review of the project status reports, ensure up to-date and reliable statistical information on project performance.
Improve the productivity by means of reduction of rework and errors.
Responsibilities
Review technical requirements of client’s specifications and ensure that agreement is reached on the basis of design. Participate in discussions with the client, as necessary.
Monitor that work and progress are in compliance with the project requirements and schedule.
Maintain contact with other disciplines/groups to ensure:
- Project Manager and/or Engineer are aware of problems of progress delays.
- Proper interchange of information.
- Proper interchange of documents
- Interface is correctly defined.
