Overview

M-DAQ is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager who is well-versed with Capital Market Services (CMS) license operations, particularly in Foreign Exchange (FX) over the counter (OTC) and derivative products. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory frameworks, industry best practices, and a track record in implementing and maintaining effective compliance programs within the financial service sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Stay abreast of MAS relevant regulations and guidelines pertaining to CMS
  • Communicate regulatory changes to internal stakeholders while ensuring proactive adjustments to compliance frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure the CMS licensed entity is compliant with its regulatory obligations
  • Conduct risk assessments specific to FX OTC derivatives business activities
  • Collaborate with key control functions to mitigate compliance risks
  • Implement training programs to enhance awareness and adherence to compliance policies
  • Establish robust monitoring and surveillance systems to detect and prevent potential compliance breaches
  • Investigate and resolve instances of non-compliance, working closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities, when necessary
  • Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits
  • Provide regular updates detailing compliance performance, issues, and recommended actions for Head of Compliance and Senior Management review.
  • Foster strong collaboration with business units to ensure a thorough understanding of FX OTC derivatives operations
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries and requests promptly and accurately

Desired Skill Set and Attributes

  • A recognised degree from a reputable institution
  • At least 3-5 years working experience in a compliance role advising FI in Singapore with a focus on FX OTC derivatives
  • Deep knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS or CFE are a plus
