Overview
M-DAQ is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager who is well-versed with Capital Market Services (CMS) license operations, particularly in Foreign Exchange (FX) over the counter (OTC) and derivative products. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory frameworks, industry best practices, and a track record in implementing and maintaining effective compliance programs within the financial service sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay abreast of MAS relevant regulations and guidelines pertaining to CMS
- Communicate regulatory changes to internal stakeholders while ensuring proactive adjustments to compliance frameworks, policies and procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure the CMS licensed entity is compliant with its regulatory obligations
- Conduct risk assessments specific to FX OTC derivatives business activities
- Collaborate with key control functions to mitigate compliance risks
- Implement training programs to enhance awareness and adherence to compliance policies
- Establish robust monitoring and surveillance systems to detect and prevent potential compliance breaches
- Investigate and resolve instances of non-compliance, working closely with internal stakeholders and external authorities, when necessary
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits
- Provide regular updates detailing compliance performance, issues, and recommended actions for Head of Compliance and Senior Management review.
- Foster strong collaboration with business units to ensure a thorough understanding of FX OTC derivatives operations
- Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries and requests promptly and accurately
Desired Skill Set and Attributes
- A recognised degree from a reputable institution
- At least 3-5 years working experience in a compliance role advising FI in Singapore with a focus on FX OTC derivatives
- Deep knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional certifications such as CAMS or CFE are a plus
