Job Description

As an Assembly and Test Central Planning (ATCP) Scenario Planning Senior Engineer at Micron Technology Inc., you will play a key role in shaping the AT Manufacturing strategies through robust scenarios analysis and ensuring these are translated to the business plans for execution.

You will partner Site Leaders and key stakeholders across the network in supporting scenarios studies to provide data and options to the Executives for guidance and decision-making.

Assembly and Test (AT) scenario analysis

  • Assist in defining and facilitating AT internal scenario studies
  • Support financial analysis studies and review outcomes with the Finance teams and key partners, to facilitate decision making
  • Translate decision to the business plan for execution

Captive Sites Space Planning

  • Monitor Captive Sites’ production space utilization for potential space constrain triggers
  • Support space-creation option studies with the Site teams to fulfill business requirements
  • Review options with the Executives if capital is needed to help in decision-making
  • Support Greenfield analysis as required

Long Range Planning (LRP) Analysis

  • Assist in seeking guidance from the Executives on strategic direction; geographical diversification, captive growth, emerging technologies and others
  • Work with Model Of Records (MOR) teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refresh input parameters
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain to rationalize the volume profile for analysis
  • Populate manufacturing tool-count and space needs of the network
  • Review and support discussions on strategic plans

Participate and Manage Projects

  • Support special projects aligning with the AT Strategic objectives
  • Assist with analysis of current and future processes/systems
  • Complete tasks by assigned due date
  • Communicate status of tasks
  • Report issues, risks, changes, and quality concerns to the project manager and team
  • Assist with documentation and training needs for new processes

Space Planning

  • Drive alignment on space definitions and measurable indices across A/T Sites
  • Consolidate and maintain data impacting production space requirements:Production-driven tool footprints
    Non-production driven requirement from multi-functional teams (e.g. RND)
  • Track and publish Captive Sites’ production space utilization for potential space constrain triggers
  • Support and collaborate with multi-functional and Site teams on
  • Space utilization efficiency projects
  • Space-creation studies to fulfill business requirements
  • Serve as a communication liaison between Global Facilities Technology Team (GFTT), Construction team, Site IEs and Facilities, and other relevant partners to ensure alignment on space related scenarios
  • Support Greenfield analysis as required
  • Support review of space related projects with the Executives if capital is needed to facilitate in decision-making

  • Follow and support company-wide and department safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and accident-free work environment
  • Promote high integrity processes that will enable immediate sharing of problems, issues and solutions with management team

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing Supply chain or a related field of study
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing or any related field.
  • Understand basic factory dynamics and manufacturing configurations
  • Experience in utility systems required for production tools and basic skills in Auto-cad will be beneficial
  • Knowledge of area process, product flow, and budget impacts (business acumen)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently or with a multi-functional team
  • Interact with management and executives comfortably
