Job Responsibilities:
- In accordance with the Technical Management Procedure, additional essential requirements include monitoring and adhering to the planned maintenance program.
- Establishing a budget, organizing, coordinating, carrying out, and overseeing maintenance, repair, and warranty work.
- Keeping track of and disclosing the expenses and lubricant usage related to the technical administration of ships (bulk carriers and containers).
- Under the Technical Manager's authorization, carry out talks with suppliers and vendors to authorize procurement of consumables, services, and replacement parts for the vessel.
- Keeping designated ships in class in good condition. Tracking the ship's classification and legal status and informing the shipmaster of any changes.
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant local, state, federal, and international laws, as well as the company's internal policies.
- Vessel vetting, surveying, and marine inspection, including documenting and monitoring condition reports, assessing operations and work procedures on board, and improving performance and efficiency.
- As needed, provide the Shipmaster operational and technical direction and support.
