Finance Manager

Headquartered in Singapore, our client is a global investment firm. As a result of business expansion, they are seeking a high calibre individual to join their Finance team.

This role will require you to work closely with key stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for Fund Management entities in Singapore and other countries.

You will be responsible for all accounting and tax functions relating to the Fund Management entities, both Singapore and overseas.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintain oversight over the day-to-day accounting, periodic financial close processes and consolidation.
  • Manage the budget and forecasting process as well we provide quarterly updates to key stakeholders.
  • Work with tax agents to ensure compliance with local tax filing obligations, liaise with external auditors to resolve accounting issues and coordinate audit process and collaborate with legal.
  • Key contact for shareholder reporting matters which include reviewing the consolidation performed by accounting agent.
  • Monitor liquidity requirements of the Fund Management entities including treasury management and foreign exchange analysis.
  • Support Financial Controller in building up operating policies and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with professional accounting qualification.
  • 10 – 12 years of working experience with minimum 6 years’ experience in the investment/ asset management sector. Corporate accounting experience in managing the fund manager’s financials will be advantageous.
  • Prior audit experience, with a good working knowledge of MAS CMS licensing requirements.
  • Experience in an Asset Management Company or a MNC fund will be ideal.
  • Experience in handling Group reporting/ regulatory requirements and presentation materials for Audit Committee/ Board meetings are preferred.
  • Demonstrated a proven record of meeting deadlines, strong attention to detail and strong organisation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Applications, strong technical ability and good communication skills are essential.
