Service Manager (APAC and China)

Raute Group Asia Pte Ltd

We are looking for Service Manager to join our team in Singapore.


The Service Manager reports directly to the Head of Service APAC and has responsibility for service operations in Asia and China Markets, excluding Indonesia.


Pre-requisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Engineering, After Sales Service or Business Development
  • Strong customer orientation and mindsets
  • At least 5 years’ experience in global supply chain management or management of Service business
  • A proven track record in mechanical engineering, especially in plywood or other wood processing industries would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, D365 (ERP), AutoCAD or similar designing applications
  • Spoken and written fluent English is a must. Chinese and Malay / Bahasa Indonesia as working language as well as experience from plywood or other wood processing industries are added advantages.
  • Sales-driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal qualities including leadership, teamwork, integrity, and respect.
  • Ability to manage own work but also teams at customer sites.
  • Interest in expanding skills base to include cross-training in other applications.
  • Willingness to travel.

The Job:

  • Accountable for service sales development in his/her territory.
  • Accountable for and lead the local Technology Service team and After Sales service operations.
  • Coordinate and manage the local service team tasks and resource allocation (projects and service)
  • Collaborate closely with market area sales team and other local and global Services business lines and Business units
  • Participate Service Strategy development and implementation of the appropriate long-term strategies.
  • Report of service activities to line manager and present during global service team meetings
  • Capable of identifying and implementing business opportunities: Sales and Service-related opportunities for service agreements, spare parts agreements, digital service agreements, field service agreements, organize meetings with potential customers, etc.
  • Develop long-term relationships and understanding of the unique needs of customer's operations to successfully maximize the entire life cycle of Raute equipment.
  • Operational developments and management of the supply chain for the Service business.
  • Actively identify and promote spare parts for customer's needs and support to prepare quotations.
  • Support Project Managers with project executions
  • Assist with customer enquiries efficiently and provide professional customer service.
  • Follow up on customer satisfaction related to all services, evaluate, and analyze feedback and report to HQ.
  • All other duties as assigned.
